jacqueline’s story

« I would like to become a midwife. My role model in life is the midwife who gave birth to me »

“I never stopped school, except when I gave birth, I must have missed the 3rd term and so I repeated. Today I am in 4th grade.

One day I would like to become a midwife because I like the fact that they give birth to children and then they go far in their studies too. My role model in life is the midwife who gave birth to me. We often discuss together, she gives me advice. She tells me that from now on I must practice abstinence in order not to get pregnant again.

I want to take responsibility, think about tomorrow, so that’s why I keep going to school. This is the only way I will ever get out of it and become independent one day.”
